Registration Fees - $7 per event or $19 for ALL three events. Pay in cash when you register on Saturday.
PLEASE read the U.S. Model Rocket Sporting Guide (the Pink Book) in preparation. Read Chapters 1 through 13, 16, 53, and 55. Especially read paragraphs 3.2, 3.3, 4.2, 4.3, 4.8, 4.9, 9.1, 9.4, 9.11, and ALL of Chapters 53 and 55. You can find the Pink Book on www.nar.org click Contest Flying, then click U.S. Model Rocket Sporting Guide, then look at the bottom left corner of that chapter list page and click Full Version in PDF.
PLEASE also read and select from the list of NAR Certified rocket motors. Go to www.nar.org click About the NAR, look down the page and click "a complete list of NAR-certified rocket motors." You can launch your entries using ONLY NAR Contest Certified Motors.
Only NAR members can compete! Go on-line and join NOW. Put your NAR number on each of your entries. It can be applied in small numbers on the launch lug.
If you are new to these events and/or don't think you have time to construct three entries by June 8, just concentrate on 1 or 2 models. 1 or 2 well-built and painted entries will do better than 3 hurriedly and poorly built ones. Also, keep it simple. If you aren't comfortable with clustering of staging complex models, stay with one motor.
For more long-winded detailed suggestions, guidelines, Tips and Helpful Hints start checking www.mc2rocketry.com and click Contest Information.
If you don't plan to compete but wish to be a judge, please contact the Contest Director. Three to six judges will be needed.
If you have any questions, please call or e-mail John Hudson, the Contest Director, at john.hudson@yahoo.com or 615-429-4664. (You you have a Pink Book question, please read it thoroughly before you call.) Thanks.
